Sunny Rays On Bunny Day

From what I can remember, this is the first time I have spent Easter away from my family. I remember meeting my grandmother in Rhode Island or southern Connecticut for brunch when I was younger. More recently, I remember just being with my family and enjoying the thoughts of spring around the corner, while indulging in mounds of chocolate. With all that's been going on lately, however, I neglected to realize this weekend was Easter, and plans to travel home came one week too early- thus, Easter this year would be quiet, and generally less heartwarming.

That is, until Alex and Skyler graciously invited the group of us to their Easter celebration, helping to bring a little bit of home to us after all. We set out in the morning for the ferry to take us across the sound to Bainbridge, where we would meet Skyler and Alex's mother. We then headed off to her home, tucked away on a nice private back road, complete with a small farm and fire-bearing neighbors. We relaxed in the 80° weather, ate some great food, and took a late day walk on the beach before catching a sunset ferry ride home.

The day was beautiful, the company was fantastic, and the sunset was amazing. Take a look for yourself, and bask in the glow of....

Easter 2004!

Also, I must note the quote of the day: "Wow, I didn't realize how quiet it was until they turned off the flamethrower." -Liz

Cheers!

Aristotle maintained that women have fewer teeth than men; although he was twice married, it never occurred to him to verify this statement by examining his wives' mouths.
