So much to say, but never a time to say it. I feel some of my stories will be lost during the period in which we are without permanent internet access. The times we do make it here, the glorious and welcoming star cafe, I haven`t the time nor the memory to put together worthwhile stories, so I`m left with this babbling display of... overwhelmth. (if that`s not a word it really should be)

But alas, calls have been made, people have been informed. With any luck internet will be installed for us in the next couple of weeks, maybe even less.

I am losing track of pictures, losing track of stories... but certainly not losing track of the times I`ve whacked my head.

Anyway, keep checking back... someday... soon... Ye ship will dock fer good.

i warned you i am going to post questions. so here is the first one... rice?!? is that all you're eating? do you cook at home or eat out? ok so that's kind of 2 questions but they're related. as long as i'm at it, here's one more food related question... do they have california rolls?

I hope you've thought of writing up your posts while at home, and then copying them to a disc. Once you get to the internet cafe...copy*paste, and your done.

Not that I don't think you're smart enough to figure that out on your own. No. Not at all. But, y'know, just in case it hadn't crossed your mind yet. Thought I'd try and help.

And damn your two billion zimezones ahead/behind thing. I'm always pooped the few times you were able to get on and chat.

of course i`ve thought of that, but it`s no fun. i write about the moment, not about moments past. sure, i might write about past moments, but only if they`re momentarily within my current moment, and not a part of a past moment that has already been written down. so in order to write properly about the things here, i need to write about particular moments when i`m feeling in the moment, and not write about moments and post those moments at later times.

dear sistah

unfortunately, anything named after a state is not edible here. i have been disappointed by their sushi, mostly because i have no idea what it is. i am scared of it. some of it looks like actual poo. we eat a lot of rice. sometimes jed eats it plain though i prefer mine with some sort of vegetable. we also eat a lot of pastries as they are so good and so cheap and we pass by the most delicious bakeries every day on our way home from work. we also relish (no food pun intended) in the few american establishments worth visiting. wendys is good and they have large delicious salads that i need because the rest of this country is apparently vegetable deprived. i am convinced that is why everyone is so skinny. complete malnourishment. i have only been to mcdonalds once and i wasn't happy about it. we do have a subway!!!! near work and that brings me great happiness. sadly, this country does not believe in ketchup for french fries and that makes me want to cry. sometimes you can get it if you ask, but they usually have no idea.

okay, that was way too long and i promise to devote an entire section on my website to food, just for you, as long as you PLEASE eat a pop-tart in my honor.

oh yeah

we also have never once turned on our stove, or toaster oven. we eat out all the time because it is cheaper. rice here is very expensive (will fill you in later) along with everything else. so we found some very good, very cheap restaurants and since tipping is not done here, we go out to eat. plus we hate cooking and it is hotter than the center of the sun here. my goal is to never ever turn the stove on. (unless maybe to boil water) I think I can easily conquer that goal.

Socrates is a doer of evil, who corrupts the youth; and who does not believe in the gods of the state, but has other divinities of his own. Such is the charge.
