Last night Karen and I carved pumpkins. I carved a pirate ship, Karen carved a face.

Posted by: jed at October 31, 2007 11:55 AMI think mine looks like Gary the Retard.
Posted by: Karen at October 31, 2007 03:06 PMhey, is that pirate ship freestyle? my pumpkins always look like karen's pumpkin. i wish i had something inspiring to say, but really, i stopped carving pumpkins years ago because people who carve pirate ships intimidate me. at least you are still in the game!!
Posted by: carrie at October 31, 2007 10:40 PMExcellent point Carrie - I feel Jed should have put in a disclaimer. He bought a big pumpkin, a little pumpkin and a book of designs. Conveniently, the designs only fit on the big pumpkin so Jed was able to use a pattern while I had to go freehand. Had I had a giant pumpking mine would have kicked way more ass. That's right Jed - bring it. Next year we're having a contest. That said - I am still proud of my pumpkin but we were unfairly matched.
Posted by: Karen at November 1, 2007 09:04 AMok, i accept your challenge. don't be fooled by the design book, it's not nearly as easy as it seems.
good luck karen, you're gonna need it.
snap!
Posted by: jed at November 1, 2007 09:25 AMHee. I'm not sure I can wait until next Halloween. Could you guys whittle yule logs for Christmas or something?
Posted by: carrie at November 1, 2007 11:06 PMIt seems a bit odd that Karen & Jed are challenging each other on this blog when they live together. They probably IM each other while they're sitting right next to each other.
