Hmmm... Well not much has happened in the past month that can match my previous news, however a little letter from a certain someone in the mail yesterday gave me something to think about...

It was a nice, simple letter from, you guessed it, the government! That's right folks, I have been summoned to jury duty! Huzza!

Oddly enough, I have always wanted to have jury duty. I can't explain why, it's just always seemed so interesting to me. I think it started in college, when my roommate Lee was called for jury duty. He came back and told me all about it, and it was basically as if he had just played a role in the movie 12 Angry Men (I had to watch it in a class once... I actually quite liked it.)

Anyway, he was the only one who thought the person was innocent... or guilty... I forget which.... and one by one he persuaded each juror to agree with him. I was pretty impressed, but not surprised, as he definitely has the personality to pull that off in a sincere and honest way. However, unlike the movie (which was a murder trial) his case was really low key, like a parking ticket or something.... but a cool story nonetheless.

But going back to my previous comment, I have always wanted jury duty and I don't know why. Now I have jury duty, and I'm a little annoyed. I mean c'mon, it starts at 8:00 in the morning.

Oh well. In other news, I may be coming out with a new (and much easier) poopdeck challenge. I was chatting with Alex the other day, who has been kind enough to host both this site and Karen's site for a couple years now, and he reminded me of the Haiku writing from ages ago. We thought it might be fun to do a daily, or weekly, or monthly... or hourly... haiku competition. Haiku's are so easy to write, and really fun to read when they're not taken too seriously. I need to figure out the details, but get your thinking caps on!

That said, let me leave you with this:

I'm watching TV
They are making a pot from
You guessed it... Walrus

True story!
