Hefty Hefty Hefty

For the past two years, the Poopdeck has hosted the Jedlebrity Fat Club. I opted not to do it this year, simply because I had too much going on, and food was and has been a very tasty and convenient vice (aka I have been lazy). However, considering I am now the heaviest I have ever been, I feel that it's time to put an end to this ridiculous overeating and do something I will probably regret in a few short days - I now officially announce that Jedlebrity Fat Club 2009 will start Monday, February 2nd, 2009.

Part of what prompted this brings us back to the root of Poopdeck Challenges. Way back in the year 2003, the very first Poopdeck Challenge, Chiller Challenge, was introduced with two fierce competitors: Jay 'I'm a princess' Pilbin, and yours truly. It just so happens that Jay is also looking to head back to the gym and shed some pounds, so it was a no brainer that I must defeat him in whatever he does. It seems like the right time to do this again, and what a better way to get back into the swing of things than to go head to head with princess boy himself.

Granted, I have a lot more weight to lose than Jay, but I think the overall goal is what it's always been for this challenge: get out, get exercise, and get healthy. In the end it will be nice to know that I completely destroyed Jay in this challenge, but the joy of victory will be minor compared to the happiness of a better lifestyle.

As always this challenge is open to anyone, but know that my number one enemy is and always will be Princess Pilbin.

See you February 2nd!

Godspeed!

UPDATE: Forget this waiting biz-niz... we're starting tomorrow!

Bacony Goodness

When I arrived at work today, I was told to 'take this piece of chocolate, put it on your tongue, and let it melt away.'

I did not hesitate to follow these instructions as me and food have a pretty good relationship. A few moments later, I started to taste something I did not expect to taste. I began to get the flavor of my most favorite food in the whole wide world.... bacon.

Contrary to what it seems, this was actually a very tasty piece of chocolate. It's probably not something I would eat too often, nor would it be a good dessert, but as a novelty 'guess what this is' kind of thing, I actually enjoyed it, and I would certainly try it again.

This confirms what I have already known to be true: bacon, in any form, is delicious.

You can find this chocolate, along with other interesting combo's, at your local Whole Foods Market.
